The Spider is a fantastic exercise to develop right hand alternate picking (cross picking). Really helps many aspects of right hand technique including string crossing and string skipping. Full support at the justinguitar web site where you will find hundreds of lessons on a wide range of subjects, and all the scales and chords that you will ever need! There is a great forum too to get help, no matter what the problem. And it is all totally free, no bull. No sample lessons, no memberships, no free ebook. Just tons of great lessons :) To get help with this lesson (and for further info and tabs), find the Lesson ID in the video title (like ST-667 or whatever) and then look it up on the Lesson Index page of justinguitar.com http://www.justinguitar.com Have fun :) .

two. This exercise is pretty good for that, yeah.
have already improved on.
with a clear mind. And even if I commented one year ago, this issue is just as recent for me as then. Mainly because of "delays" regarding my health and me concentrating more on drumming.
Drumming's probably the ultimate rhythm exercise!
more practice there. Don't know how much, but improvements are happening for me. Though I am only practicing finger control at the moment with some slight pattern stuff, etc. I am aiming for Progressive/Technical Death Metal, so it's going to be a hard way until I reach my goal. But as much as
this makes me tremble with despair it also drives me to want to improve :D
with despair it also drives me to want to improve :D" And that's the key, basically. I often see people saying stuff like "I'm going to give up playing guitar" after seeing their favourite guitarist play a cool lick. That makes no sense whatsoever. If anything, it should make you want to play
more guitar! Your favourite musician just showed you what's possible, and if that sounds cool to you, you should definitely keep on trying! :D
