First off, I would like to say that I think this is a wonderful band. I've seen the viral video, and it is absolutely beautiful. I've also listened to their other songs, and I think those are great, too. However, after listening to this
performance and scrolling through the comments, I understand several things: the guy in the middle was sick, they were nervous, they were standing up, they are in a different room with different acoustics, etc. (1/4)

To me, those words just sound like excuses. Fine, he was sick. As a singer, though, he should take care of his voice more and
actually refrain from going up to that volume when he is unwell. Alright, they were nervous. They should make sure that they can play well despite being nervous, though, because as performers, they're going to constantly move to bigger stages and they will always be nervous. (2/4)

But I've experienced trouble with acoustics before, and no amount of different acoustics in a room can excuse the guy in the middle. Like I said, I understand he was sick, and yes, that can be his excuse. But I find it appalling that people are trying to use "different acoustics" to brush off his performance. Standing up should also not be an excuse because they should have had time in between to prepare and practice playing this song while standing up. (3/4)

All things aside, I understand that illness and anxiety affected their song this time, and I still think they are a wonderful
band. But when people in the comments are trying to honestly critique the song without any intended malice, I don't think they deserve to be bashed on by other fans because I am sure we all love WOTE in one form or another. (4/4)
